Homewood Schools Fund Run

THANK YOU FOR ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL FUND RUN!

Thanks to the support from participants and sponsors, Foundation 153 hosted about 530 runners, walkers and dashers at our 4th annual Homewood Schools Fund Run.  Together, we raised about $11,000 to benefit School District 153!

Race LateRegistration Fees (Sept. 19 through race day)

  • Adult 5K $30
  • Child 5K $25
  • 153 yard kids’ dash $10
  • Family rate $75 (Family rate applies to immediate family members, a maximum of two adults with an unlimited number of children under age 17.)
  • Family rate will not be available on race day!

  • 10 am 153 yard kids’ dash
  • Registration and 5k start at Millennium/James Hart Campus

General Information 

5K/walk route: http://www.usatf.org/routes/view.asp?rID=485067

Car Parking: Parking will be available in the Lions’ Club Pool lot located on Ridge Rd located between Center and Halsted.  You will be able to walk through the park to the registration tent and start/finish line.

Bicycle Parking: With over 500 people expected to attend, arriving at the event via bicycle is a great option. There are plenty of bike racks available at the Millennium and James Hart schools.

Age Groups

 6 & under, 7-8, 9-10, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+

Awards will be given to:

  • Top three overall male and female

  • Top three in each age group (overall finishers excluded from age categories}

  • All 153 yard kids’ dash participants get a treat!

Incentives for the Kids

All district 153 students participating in the race will be eligible for one of the following prizes:

  • Willow students: "Exercise leader for the day" coupon
  • Churchill students: "No jogging pass" coupon
  • Millennium students: Earn extra credit in PE class
  • James Hart students: Earn extra credit in PE class

Plus, the class with the most student participation from each school will win a rock climbing party at Climb On in Homewood!
